Updating the Historic Hotel’s Guest Rooms: It’s all in the details

Unknown-6Unknown-11Unknown-4

At the Gage Hotel, we pride ourselves on bringing an authentic, West Texas experience to today’s most discerning traveler. We understand our guests’ needs, which is why 10 of the Gage Hotel’s main rooms have undergone a complete renovation. With special attention to detail, we updated each room in order to provide guests with the utmost comfort. Complete with beautiful, private baths, each room features updated furniture and fresh design.

Eleanor Gerlinger, an incredibly talented interior designer based in San Antonio, came out to help bring our vision to life for each room. Gerlinger, who is known for creating warm and inviting spaces, describes the style of the renovation in the Historic Hotel rooms as “Texas Mission”.  We hope you will come out to visit this fall to see and enjoy for yourself! Follow us on Facebook and check back on our blog for more pictures of the completed rooms.

Gage Hotel’s October Cocktail: The Gage Ghost

imagejpeg_0[1]

What better way to spend October than in an old west town, where there are rumors of a [very friendly and a very harmless] ghost? While we haven’t seen him ourselves, we don’t want to disappoint guests on the hunt for an exciting experience this season. So, in the spirit of spookiness, our beloved bartender and chief of entertainment, Philip, whipped up a special drink he aptly named the Gage Ghost. We’re confident that if you drink enough of these delicious cocktails you’ll have some sort of ‘ghost’ story to tell in the morning…

And for those that can’t make it out to the White Buffalo Bar in Far West Texas this month, Philip let us in on his Halloween cocktail recipe so you can try it from home. If you give it a whirl, let us know how it goes.

Enjoy!
