The Gage Hotel’s White Buffalo Bar Michelada Recipe



Phillip Moellering is one of the most beloved faces you will nearly always see at the White Buffalo Bar. He is the Gage Hotel’s manager, food and beverage director, and also happens to be the best darn bartender in West Texas. We’ve coaxed him into sharing another one of his legendary recipes with us. If y’all like his Prickly Pear Margarita then you have to try this delicious Michelada. It’s the perfect drink to fling you into spring. Cheers to warm weather on the horizon and all of our patrons at the White Buffalo Bar!


Gage Michelada Recipe:

5 ounces Gage bloody Mary mix (recipe below)

Beer of your choice (Preferably Mexican Beer)

Salt Rim of glass

Fill with ice

Pour bloody mary mix in glass

Top with beer of choice

Garnish with pickled green bean, olive, and jalapeno


Gage Bloody Mary Mix:

 36 ounces tomato juice

1 bottle clamato juice

3 tbsp. caps of Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp. caps of tabasco

2 tbsp.  celery salt

2 tbsp. black pepper

1 tbsp. horseradish

2 oz. lemon juice

1 tbsp. kosher salt

Note: Bloody Mary Recipe makes a gallon. Cut down accordingly.
